Lowest attendance at a World Cup finals match

The lowest attendance ever seen at a World Cup finals match came way back in the 1930 world cup in Uruguay.

The game in question took place on the 14th of July 1930 at the Estadio Pocitos in Montevideo.

The game pitted Romania against Peru and has a recorded attendance of just 300 football fans.

Romania took the lead after in the first minute before a late flurry of goals saw them win 3-1.
