Teens for a tenner at the Emirates next season as Arsenal fight back against fury at ticket prices

After coming under-fire for their sky-high ticket prices, Arsenal have some good news for their young fans' wallets by introducing a £10 teenagers-only section at the Emirates Stadium next season.

Between 800 and 1,000 seats will be available for matches not deemed 'Category A' next season despite the Gunners losing almost £400,000 a season due to the offer.

Two fan groups, the Arsenal Supporters' trust and the Arsenal Independent Supporters' Association proposed the scheme, which was implemented following talks with club officials.

The news comes at the end of a season when Arsenal came in for criticism over the most expensive tickets in Premier League history, with the cheapest seat for some matches available at £62.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis said: 'This is an important initiative to encourage young fans to come to games and make a big contribution to the atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium. Our young fans represent the future of the club.
