The hottest day of the year might be just around the corner, but it seems that’s still not enough to keep Cheick Tiote warm after he wore gloves in Newcastle’s clash with West Ham.
While the majority of the United Kingdom is gearing up for barbeques and ice cream, with 24C temperatures expected, Tiote pulled on an extra layer to keep himself cosy.
The midfielder was covered in sweat for most of the game but obviously needed the extra protection for his sensitive hands.
Tiote’s short-sleeves-and-gloves approach didn’t work though, as he failed to keep his cool and inspire his Magpies side to victory against the Hammers - picking up a booking into the process.
