Hughes

Blackburn manager Mark Hughes has urged employers in the Ribble Valley area to release staff early and allow them to reach Ewood Park in time for his side's tea-time Uefa Cup kick-off against Bayer Leverkusen.

The 6.05pm start for this evening's second-leg tie - which Rovers start 3-2 down - has been dictated by the demands of German television but makes getting to the ground tricky for many supporters.

Recognising the difficulties inherent in fans downing tools and walking boldly out midway through the afternoon, Blackburn have slashed ticket prices. While season ticket-holders receive free admission, children will get in for £1 and everyone else for £15.
