Luiz Felipe Scolari, the Portugal manager, has slammed David Beckham's move to America and feels the game is being wrecked by big commercial deals.
Beckham is reported to be earning £128 million during his five-year stay with the LA Galaxy.
Scolari said: "Football isn't about marketing, it's lost its way."
He added: "It seems to me that Beckham's going to be part of a big 'American show'. Soccer doesn't fit into my idea of football – it's all a show. For this reason I am sure Beckham will have an impact on this concept of the sport."
