Scotland

Scotland have equalled their highest ever position in the Fifa world rankings after climbing six places to 20th. The Scots sit top of their Euro 2008 qualifying group and face testing fixtures against Georgia and Italy who have replaced Brazil as Fifa's number one side, next month.

England are unchanged in sixth place in the latest list, with the Republic of Ireland climbing three to 46th. The Republic have gone ahead of Northern Ireland, who fell two places to 49th, while Wales dropped one place to 75th.
