Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard has played down concerns over Ronaldinho's fitness following claims that photos taken during the Champions League defeat by Liverpool in midweek showed him looking overweight.

The Brazilian, previously considered the world's best player, has struggled for form this season but Rijkaard insisted the pictures were a "trick of the light"

The Dutchman said: "When the photo is taken quite close by, with inadequate light or if there is some movement, it can vary the reality a lot and, in this instance, for me there are doubts."
