Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez did not have a bed in the Liverpool team hotel on the night of the Champions League Final.

It seems the UEFA allocation of hotel room for Liverpool (in addition to the problems with tickets for fans) also went wrong.

When Liverpool got to the hotel they found there were not enough rooms and Benitez had to give up his room so that his wife and the wife of a club official could share a room and get some sleep.

He and that official spent part of the night, some five hours or so, walking in Athens.
