Allardyce locks players out

Sam Allardyce is locking out Newcastle players who turn up late for training.

The Newcastle boss is proving his no-nonsense style by having the gates to United's Benton training ground padlocked at 9.45am every morning.

Big Sam wants to force latecomers into a humiliating buzz on the intercom to explain themselves after becoming fed up with some stars who sneak in late.

He is insisting on the strictest discipline around his training ground as he prepared for what he believes is the "toughest season ever" in the Premier League.
