Bullard sharpening his competitive instincts
Jimmy Bullard is back in training and hoping to return to Fulham’s first-team by the anniversary of his injury on September 9.
Bullard, 28, has just been sharpening his competitive instincts on the riverbank and the golf course.
He said: “I’m back on the golf course, so I feel like a sportsman again. I play off scratch. I’d like to see what level I can get to in golf when I’ve finished in football.
During a year-long lay-off with a knee injury, Bullard has been signed by Super League fishing champs Dorking.
“Dorking asked me to join them. I couldn’t believe it — they are like the Man United of fishing. The fishing has kept me sane since the injury.”
