Asked why he wanted to be involved with Deal Or No Deal Nigeria, Fashanu simply said, “I thought it would be a great opportunity to experience working on one of the biggest International TV entertainment shows.”

In addition to appearing on t.v, Fashanu is a prominent businessman who was named the International Business Person of the Year (1999 - 2000) by UK Black Links. He also won The Business Federation Achievement Award (1990) and was named the Coca-Cola Face of Nigeria (1995).
