Ribéry
The scar that traces a line down the right side of French international Franck Ribéry's face, from the forehead to the beard, is a reminder that at the age of 2 he survived being thrown through the windshield of a car in Boulogne-sur-Mer, where he was born.The French press also recently disclosed that the Bayern Munich player is a Muslim, one of seven million in France. He took the faith of his wife, Wahiba, who is of Moroccan descent, and only when pressed did he tell Paris Match, "Islam is my source of strength either on or outside the playground."
