Morton went to
Firs Park to play East Stirling in midweek in the
Challenge Cup.
As the players warmed up on the pitch, a desperate female fan was given permission to use their dressing-room toilet.
But the offer backfired when Morton found themselves locked out after a stream of her friends followed her lead.
Boss Jim McInally admits it was all a bit of an inconvenience.
He said: "I was watching the boys do pre-match stretching when I was approached by a man who asked if there was a toilet his wife could use.
"I told him she could use the one in our dressing room and he went along to guard the door.
"But word must have spread because all of a sudden she was joined by a few more woman who helped themselves to the facility.
"Our kitman then tried to get back into the dressing room and couldn't get access because of the queue for the loo.
"It didn't stop us from getting the players back in time to go through their final preparations but I might have to think twice if I'm asked again."
