Adriano has escaped unscathed from a car accident in Rio de Janeiro, according to reports in South America.

The Brazil striker was involved in a multi-vehicle incident early this morning although neither the 25-year-old nor anyone else involved was injured.

Adriano was a reputed target for Premier League clubs including West Ham and Manchester City but will complete a loan move to Sao Paulo from Serie A leaders Inter Milan tomorrow.
