Curbishley in call to ban players' Christmas parties
Alan Curbishley believes that clubs should seriously consider banning players' Christmas parties.
The West Ham manager's comments came after the problems at the Manchester United players' party on Monday, after which Northern Ireland international Jonny Evans was quizzed by police over an allegation of rape.
The Hammers players also held their party this week, at the Sports Cafe in London, but Curbishley has put the future of such celebrations in doubt.
He said today: “I hope we've come out unscathed.
“I don't like Christmas parties for the players and I will have to seriously think about banning it next year, after what has happened in Manchester.
