Shevchenko is the biggest transfer flop in football history

An online poll of fans has voted Andriy Shevchenko the biggest transfer flop in football history.

The Ukraine striker, signed by Chelsea from AC Milan for £30 million and a weekly wage of £120,000, received 2,857 of the 6,677 votes cast.

In second place was £28.1m Manchester United dud Juan Sebastian Veron with 1,069 votes while Sergei Rebrov, who joined Tottenham in 2000 for £11m, came third with 635 votes.
