Psycho's final game

Who could ever forget Stuart Pearce's tragic final game for Manchester City ?

Pearce played like a man possessed as he tried to find his 100th career goal.

With no luck and time running out, the referee awarded a decidedly dodgy penalty to City in the final minute.

Up stepped Stuart Pearce.

Pompey keeper Dave Beasant flopped to his side, making no attempt to reach the ball whichever way it was struck and Pearce, for his 100th goal, in his final game, in the final minute, of the final match ever at Maine Road ... blasted it high, wide and ugly.
