A small group of Gala fans took things into their own hands, quite literally in fact, after they were caught be stadium security trying to burrow their way into the Veltins Arena by hand under a perimeter fence.

Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt confirmed the news before the game: "Yes, that’s right. Some supporters have tried to dig a tunnel with their bare hands."
