Palace cheerleaders banned in case of favouritism

A popular group of cheerleaders have been banned from performing before a big game at Wembley - because it would be favouritism to their team.

The Crystal girls, whose sexy dance routines have been a big hit on YouTube, were hoping to enjoy the biggest day of their lives.

But Wembley bosses dashed their dreams of stardom at the country's most prestigious football stadium.

The Crystals wanted to dance on the pitch before kick-off of the Championship play-off final between their team Crystal Palace and Watford on Bank Holiday May 27.

More than 80,000 spectators will be in the stadium and millions expected to watch on TV as the winner will earn a hugely-coveted multi-million pound place in the Premier League.

The disappointed women announced their disappointing news on Twitter, @crystals-CPFC said: 'For all those who have asked, unfortunately the rules stipulate that we can't dance at Wembley. But we will be there supporting.'

Bronia Gosling, head coach of the Crystals, said: 'We are of course disappointed not to be able to dance but it was always going to be a long shot.

'As it is neutral ground it would be seen as favouritism towards Crystal Palace. We would love the opportunity one day though.

'The girls and I will of course be going to Wembley to support the team so come on you Eagles.'
