Cantona on the back of your shirt ? Non !
Manchester United’s new home strip has been lauded for the return of the ‘Cantona collar’ - but supporters have been left baffled after the club’s official shop refused to print the iconic Frenchman’s name on the back of replica jerseys.
United supporters have been flocking to the mega store at Old Trafford since this season’s new kit was unveiled last week.
But Sfans have been denied the right to sport the name of one of the Red Devils’ greatest ever players.
Many nostalgic United supporters have asked for Cantona’s name to be printed on the back of their shirt, only to be told by Megastore staff that the club do not own the image rights to Cantona’s name and his name is therefore out of bounds.
