UEFA officials left red-faced after racist lyric broadcast before racism appeal

UEFA have suffered a huge embarrassment after a DJ played a song containing racially-provocative lyrics before England's Under 21 encounter with Norway.

The tune, which contained several references to the 'n' word, was broadcast immediately before UEFA issued the message they do before every match in which they say they are against racism.

Though they have promised to conduct a full enquiry into how such music could be played, it will have left officials from the European game's governing body red-faced, given the controversies in which they have been embroiled.

UEFA had scorn poured on them after they initially fined Serbia £65,900 in December after their fans had continually racially abused England's black players during the now infamous Under 21 play-off in Krusevac last October.
