Bale waiting on Real Madrid offer
Real Madrid must show their hand before Gareth Bale will make any decision on his future, says the Tottenham star’s agent.
The Welshman has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu this summer, but dealmaker Jonathan Barnett insists his client will not make decision one way or the other until Madrid make an official offer to Spurs.
‘Bale has not said no, nor yes. There’s no offer from Madrid; they have to talk between themselves and we will see what happens.
‘He was at Malaga airport [on Tuesday], he’s been in Marbella on holiday. He comes back to Tottenham for pre-season training next week.’
Bale has recently revealed his longing for a return to Champions League football, which Spurs will miss out on this season, prompting speculation the 23-year-old could be ready to quit White Hart Lane in the coming months.
