Barton is ‘footballer British men would most like to punch’
Joey Barton has been voted the ‘most punchable’ footballer in England - despite having spent the past 12 months out of the country.
The controversial QPR midfielder, who spent last season on loan at French side Marseille, is rarely backwards in coming forwards with his opinions, which he voices vigorously on Twitter.
But it seems his opinionated nature off the pitch, coupled with his aggressive style of play on it, has made him less popular than even the likes of John Terry, Wayne Rooney and Luis Suarez, according to readers of AskMen.
The ‘Great Male Survey’ was carried out by the men’s online magazine and more than 70,000 people responded to the question: ‘Which of the following would you be most inclined to punch in the face if there were no consequences?’
The results were as follows:
1. Joey Barton - 32%
2. John Terry - 29%
3. Wayne Rooney - 22%
4. Luis Suarez - 17%
