Usain Bolt, a well-known United fan, has apparently been given the green light to turn out for his heroes in Rio Ferdinand’s testimonial match against Sevilla on August 9.

Not one to play down his own abilities, the 100m and 200m Olympic champion has boasted of his footie skills in the past and had been cheekily pushing Sir Alex Ferguson to give him a trial before the legendary Scot retired at the end of last season.

‘I know I could make a difference. I’d be the fastest in the team - but I can play as well,’ said Bolt.
