David Luiz is preparing to have surgery on a broken nose he sustained during Brazil's Confederations Cup match against Mexico two weeks ago.

He posted a short video on social network site Instagram of himself lying on his hospital bed, in a gown.

Luiz tweeted: 'Surgery time! Pray for me please! Tks for all! #nose.'
