Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has told the club’s new director of football Joe Kinnear that he needs to show more respect to the players.

The Magpies boss appeared less than impressed with Kinnear’s dodgy pronunciations of some of the stars of his squad.

He told BBC Radio Newcastle: "Some of the things Joe said he has apologised for, especially getting the names wrong of our players.

"That needs to be corrected because there is a certain respect needed there."
