Sporting Lisbon fans try to kidnap Chelsea target Bruma
Chelsea target Bruma was the victim of an attempted kidnapping by fans who don’t want him to leave Sporting Lisbon, according to his agent.
The 18-year-old wonderkid’s representative Cátio Baldé claims a group of fans tried to snatch him from a hotel las night.
He said: "Last night there was an attempted kidnap of Bruma by Juve Leo [Sporting fans] at the hotel where he lives. We have registered a complaint [with the police], and we have been informed it was done at the behest of Sporting’s management."
The winger would be entitled to terminate his contract and leave on a free transfer if FIFA is satisfied that an attempted kidnapping did take place.
The incident happened on the day news broke that Bruma had pleaded with Sporting to let him move to the Blues.
