Di Canio bans players from eating ketchup and mayonnaise
Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio has drawn up a recipe for success at the Stadium of Light this season - but ketchup, mayonnaise and ice are off the menu for the players.
Di Canio, who took charge of the Black Cats last season and helped them avoid relegation, has spent much of the summer changing almost everything at the club.
As well as ten new signings, the Italian coach has overhauled training and the diet of the players, and has even given his stars a list of things they can and cannot eat.
Top of the list is saucy favourites ketchup and mayonnaise, while having a cheeky ice cube in your drink has also been ruled out.
Di Canio explains that the changes are all about making sure Sunderland enjoy a successful campaign.
