Farnborough given 14-day deadline

The Football Conference have given Farnborough 14 days to comply with certain conditions before being allowed to start their season.

The Hampshire side had their first two Conference South games of the campaign postponed last Friday after failing to meet the league's criteria.

Boro exited administration last week following a buy-out by a consortium headed by manager Spencer Day.

Until the conditions are met Boro will not be allowed to play any fixtures.

That could see their next three matches, against Maidenhead United, Bath City and Eastbourne Borough, re-arranged.

Farnborough's opening two games were postponed after the Boro FC Ltd consortium, headed by Day and Robert Prince, were not able to meet the Conference's criteria to transfer membership of the league to the new company before a deadline last Friday.

The club were handed with a 14-day deadline at a meeting with representatives of the league in London on Wednesday.
