Millwall forced to play in borrowed away strip
Millwall were forced to pull on Sheffield Wednesday’s away kit for their match against the Yorkshire side this weekend – after leaving their kit back in London.
The Lions’ dozy kitman forget to pack the strip as the side travelled north for the clash with Wednesday, only to realise at the last minute.
Steve Lomas’ side, who have been in dreadful form since his appointment, sent out an emergency SOS to Millwall’s training ground, and the club tried to rush the jerseys to Yorkshire before kick-off.
The kit failed to arrive before the match started, meaning Millwall were forced to pull on Wednesday’s yellow away strip from last season.
