Joey Barton has re-entered the world of education by embarking on a philosophy degree.

The controversial QPR midfielder is studying at Roehampton University, and confirmed on his official Twitter profile he went to his first lecture on Thursday.

He posted: 'Off to my first lecture this afternoon. Eyes peeled, ears open, brain engaged.'
