Man City car washers gutted to lose big tipper Gareth Barry

Gareth Barry’s departure from Manchester City has not exactly been mourned by the club’s supporters - except those responsible for washing the players’ cars.

While his on-pitch exploits were not always appreciated at City, his tipping certainly was.

Staff who wash the cars at City’s Carrington training ground will miss Barry topping up their pay packets.

City’s squad of millionaires are charged £25 a pop for a clean and valet.

But apparently it’s tough to get that relative small change off some of the squad, and only Barry would offer a big tip after his car had been cleaned.
