The clinic in Spain where Gareth Bale underwent his Real Madrid medical has reportedly shelled out €10million to the club for the privilege.

Bale travelled to Madrid on Sunday evening to complete his world-record move to Real, and underwent the customary medical examination before signing the contract.

However, unlike most deals, it seems the Welshman’s medical was far from a formality, with the Sanitas clinic believed to have paid Madrid around €10m to pick them over other hospitals available.

Bale passed the tests with flying colours and was today unveiled at the Bernabeu Stadium in front of 25,000 adoring Real fans.
