Colombia midfield legend Carlos Valderrama is well known around the globe for his huge blond hair but he has taken the decision to dye his locks pink for a worthy cause.

The man known as 'El Pibe' had given notice he was planning the eye-catching gesture, designed to raise awareness for a breast cancer walk the 52-year-old is undertaking on Monday in his native Colombia.

Clearly a man of his word, Valderrama followed through on his promise he made to the Avon foundation and is now sporting pink hair.
