Crystal Palace player to pay fines by direct debit
A Crystal Palace player was apparently so determined to continue his persistent breaking of club rules that he asked to pay his fines by direct debit.
The Eagles star took exception to a ban on using his mobile phone in the treatment room.
Having being hit with another £50 fine for breaking the rule, the player is said to have touted the idea of a direct debit payment for his fines.
When former manager Ian Holloway was told about the situation, he approved the idea and allow the direct debit system to start.
