Ferguson event sells out in four minutes
After the book came Sir Alex Ferguson ‘live in conversation’ on Monday night, the former Manchester United manager making the first of five stops around the UK and Ireland.
It was, as you would imagine, a far from hostile audience that awaited him, with the 1,700 people at the Lowry Theatre in Salford paying upwards of £40 each for 75 minutes of Fergie and a signed copy of his new autobiography.
It sold out in four minutes. ‘Faster than Morrissey,’ declared BBC presenter Dan Walker, who joined him on stage to ask the questions.
