Italian giants could land Blackpool ace for just £155,000

Blackpool could lose Thomas Ince for as little as £155,000 as he considers a move abroad.

The 21-year-old winger, rated at £8million, is a free agent in the summer but Blackpool can still expect considerable compensation should he move to another English club.

However, Ince is free to talk to foreign clubs in January and is attracting interest from Ajax and Inter Milan, one of his father Paul’s former sides.

Ince, who has scored six goals for his club this season to follow up his 18 last term, is warming to the idea of such a move to improve his education in the game but that would deliver a crushing blow to Blackpool’s finances.

FIFA regulations state any ‘cross-border’ transfer for a player of Ince’s age will result in compensation of around only  £155,000.

Liverpool are due 35 per cent of any transfer fee under the agreement in place when they allowed Ince to join Blackpool three years ago but that clause does not apply to compensation.
