Shawcross booked in the dressing room
Robin van Persie had a verbal bust-up with Ryan Shawcross following Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Stoke.
They were involved in a tussle just before the interval, when Stoke defender Shawcross appeared to grab United striker Van Persie around the neck at a corner.
Shawcross then barged into the Dutchman as the two sides left the pitch at the break, with the pair continuing their verbal exchange in the tunnel.
Ref Lee Mason booked the Potters' star in the dressing room at half-time, but the feud carried on after the final whistle.
Van Persie is alleged to have said something under his breath to Shawcross as the Englishman was giving a post-match interview.
Shawcross twice asked him to repeat what he said, but witnesses said the former Arsenal star ignored him.
