Forget audiobooks, translators and evening classes, Manchester City reckon that teaching their foreign stars English will be child's play.

All Manuel Pellegrini's imports this season, including Jesus Navas, Alvaro Negredo, Fernandinho and Stevan Jovetic, have been told to learn the language from watching children's channel CBeebies.

Even Sergio Aguero, who is now in his third season at the club, has started to surprise fans by uttering a couple of words of English and says he is 'getting better every day'.

The club provides language packs when players arrive, which suggest they watch CBeebies and shows such as In The Night Garden.
