Lofthouse's collection fetches over £100,000 at auction
A treasured collection of Nat Lofthouse's memorabilia - including his 1958 FA Cup winner's medal - was sold at auction for more than £100,000.
The former Bolton centre forward - who played for the club throughout his 14-year career - died two years ago.
And his FA Cup medal was expected to fetch in the region of £12,000 when the bidding started in Cheshire, but ended up going for £16,500.
Lofthouse's children had put 69 lots, with a combined estimated price of £80,000, up to sell on Wednesday.
