Norwich spent £13.5m on three strikers managed 6 shots on target

Norwich broke the club piggybank to buy players who would help push on from an 11th-place finish last season, but the effect has been the opposite - a slide into the relegation zone that reached a nadir on Saturday with the 7-0 defeat by Manchester City.

A new strike force was assembled with Ricky Van Wolfswinkel, Gary Hooper and Johan Elmander joining for £13.5m. But they have produced only one Premier League goal.

More worryingly, between them the trio have managed just six shots on target in the campaign so far.
