Safety fears keep Arsenal players off the streets

Arsenal players and staff have had to stay in their hotel amid security fears ahead of the Champions League clash in Naples.

The Barclays Premier League leaders are desperate to avoid a repeat of the violence that marred Napoli’s visit to the Emirates Stadium in October and Gunners security chiefs have taken strong measures to ensure staff and supporters remain safe in Italy.

Likewise, Arsenal have arranged special coaches to transport the 700 travelling fans from a secret location to the San Paolo Stadium.
