Hundreds of fans have made the pilgrimage to the statue of Eusebio outside Benfica's stadium in Lisbon to pay tribute to the Portugal legend who died on Sunday morning at the age of 71.

The football world was stunned and saddened when the news broke that the former Portugal and Benfica striker had passed away in the night following a heart attack.

And fans have been flocking to the statue on the walkway around the cto pay their last respects to man who defined an era in football.
