Hyde get first win

There will be few happier fans in football tonight than those of Hyde FC, who have seen their side win a league match for the first time in 30 attempts.

The Conference Premier side unsurprisingly sit rock bottom with just seven points to show for their campaign - a staggering 18 points off safety with just over half of the season played.

Hyde have not won a league fixture since April 9, when they grabbed a 1-0 win against Ebbsfleet.

And it appears Kent sides are their perfect opponents, breaking their duck with a 2-0 victory over Welling United tonight, with strikes from Louis Almond and Connor Hughes giving them a much needed three points.
