Sherwood injures himself kicking a water bottle
Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood hobbled out of Villa Park after kicking the team’s water bottle carrier in anger.
The Villa boss pulled his hamstring after the incident which was sparked when Carles Gil was denied a penalty and booked for diving.
Sherwood said the Spaniard should have been awarded a spot-kick and that justice would have been done if the claret and blues went on to convert the 2-2 draw into a 3-2 success.
Joking with reporters after seeing the funny side to the story, Sherwood said: "I was going to kick the water bottles forward but there were too many people so I thought I’d be polite and back-heel them and that has done my hamstring bad."
